How to get started

I’m ready to start therapy! What do I do?

  • CALL (240-429-1900) or EMAIL (adelle@touchstonewellnessgroup.com) to set up a consultation session. In the message, please include a brief description of what you are seeking support for and what services you are interested in. All my sessions are telehealth at this time.

What are your fees for service?

  • Diagnostic Evaluation/Intake Appointment (45 mins): FREE

  • Individual Counseling (50-minutes): $150*

  • EMDR sessions (60-90 minutes): $200

  • Family and Couples Counseling (50 minutes): $200

*Sliding scale available for need-based clients

Payment is collected at the end of the month through secure client portal. I do not participate in any insurance companies or panels. My services qualify for some reimbursement with most insurance plans. I will provide you with the required information so that you may submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement. Some HMOs will reimburse for psychotherapy. Note that you will be reimbursed at a lower rate compared to a participating provider. Rates vary for private yoga and meditation sessions and events, please contact me directly for fee information.

What should I expect from the first appointment?

Confidentiality and informed consent will be reviewed on your client portal after the first meeting if you choose to continue. There is no obligation to continue with counseling after the consultation session. Sessions are typically around 50-mins long. Some health and historical background information will be collected to assess overall psychological functioning and inform treatment planning. This is an ongoing process that usually takes more than one session. Fees for service will typically be discussed at the end of the session.

What is confidentiality and informed consent? And why is it important?

Essentially, it protects your privacy, ensuring you feel safe. In technical terms, informed consent defines the ethical and legal requirements for participating in psychotherapeutic treatment. Confidentiality, specifically the HIPAA Privacy Rule, establishes national standards to protect individuals' medical records and other personal health information. This rule applies to health plans, healthcare clearinghouses, and healthcare providers that conduct certain transactions electronically.
